NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 has low supply and higher prices in Europe

The current strongest graphics card for gaming appears to be starting to see its discontinuation. According to one of Europe’s largest retailers, Germany’s 3DCenter, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 already has inflated prices due to low stock da GPU Ada Lovelace.

In Europe, the top-of-the-line graphics card cost 1,769 euros, a drop of almost 200 euros compared to the initial MSRP of the Founders Edition model. In Brazil, there is still a generous availability of the video card, since the price here is not at all inviting and easily exceeds R$ 11,000, reaching almost R$ 14,000 depending on the model. Rumors about the end of the GeForce RTX 4090

This change comes on the heels of rumors pointing to the GeForce RTX 4090 being discontinued starting in October to make room for its successor. In that unofficial information, it was said that availability of the GPU would decrease and prices would increase starting next month, something that has apparently already begun.

The GeForce RTX 4090 chip production shutdown would begin when the GPU turns two years old, as it was launched in October 2022. In addition to the high-end GPU, the Chinese version, RTX 4090D, should also be shut down to make way for its equivalent successor.

Regarding the GeForce RTX 5090, we have confirmation from some source manufacturers, such as MSI and Cooler Master, in addition to indications that point to the final stage of production of the top-of-the-line Blackwell GPU.

There are other rumors that point to the use of GDDR7 memories and between 50 and 70% higher performance over the GeForce RTX 4090. The expectation is that the RTX 5090 and 5080 GPUs will arrive at the end of this year, when the RTX 4090 is already at the end of its availability, considering the rumors presented so far.
