Seasonic announced this week the start of sales of the Prime PX-2200, its most powerful power supply. First shown at Computex 2024, this PSU offers up to 2200W of capacity, as its name indicates. And all this power supply is certified with the 80 Plus Platinum efficiency seal.
The manufacturer says its new power supply is the “pinnacle of Seasonic engineering,” featuring premium materials and advanced production processes. Its technologies include state-of-the-art interleaved PFC and a patented design for dual transformers operating in parallel.
Being a premium product from 2024, it is clear that the Seasonic Prime PX-2200 is an ATX 3.1 power supply, offering support for PCIe 5.1. Check out more highlights in its specifications below:

Seasonic’s new power supply price and availability
In its publicity for the new font, Seasonic repeatedly mentions that it is a premium product. In other words, this price range is to be expected.
The Prime PX-2200 will first arrive in China and Europe, between the end of September and the beginning of October. The suggested price in the region is €579.90 (R$3,512).

The product will then arrive in the US and the rest of the world, at the end of the third quarter of 2024, according to Seasonic. The suggested price is considerably lower: US$ 499.99. That’s approximately R$ 2,712 at the current exchange rate.
