Intel has changed the color range of its new box for the Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs, leaving behind the blue design and adopting an all-black design – with some blue details, to maintain at least part of its visual identity.
Without further ado, check out below what was released by leaker “@momomo_us” – which shows not only the image of the Core Ultra 9 285K, but also of the Core Ultra 7 265K and the Core Ultra 5 245K:
As you can see above, the new box that will be used on the Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs contains the information “Unlocked” and “Series 2” – indicating that, in fact, they belong to the Arrow Lake-S family and the “K” chips, which will have a TPD of 125W.
It is also worth noting that they look very similar to the boxes of processors produced to be sent to China – called “Black Edition”. Check out the image below for a comparison:
It’s also important to mention that, so far, Intel has not confirmed that this box will actually be used for global sales of Core Ultra 200 CPUs – however, it shouldn’t be long before we see it officially. The manufacturer will introduce the new line on October 10, 2024, by the way.

It’s important to mention that, at least initially, Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs will only have five models available: the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K, Core Ultra 7 265KF, Core Ultra 5 245K and Core Ultra 5 245KF – with the only difference in the “KF” being the absence of integrated graphics.
Although its launch was scheduled for October 17, 2024, several reports already indicate that the date has been postponed and they will come on October 24 – alongside the Z890 motherboards from their various commercial partners.
Even though Intel tries to keep all this information under wraps, more information about the Core Ultra 200 CPUs and their official specifications will be released next month.
