A Realme detailed this Wednesday (14) a 320W charging technology that had been announced in recent days. It is called 320W SuperSonic Charge and is the world’s fastest smartphone charging technology.

A Realme disse que a 320W SuperSonic Charge fully charges a smartphone battery in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. It fills the cell up to 26% in one minute and takes less than two minutes to charge it above 50%.

World’s fastest charger and foldable battery

Realme’s charging technology is slightly faster than the 300W technology of Xiaomiwhich fully charged a 4,000mAh battery in 4 minutes and 55 secondswhile Realme’s technology fills a 4,400mAh cell in less than 5 minutes.

Realme said the 320W power adapter is called the “Pocket Cannon” and has a power density of 3.3W/cm3, making it similar in size to Realme’s 240W charger.

The company also said that the Power Cannon supports mainstream charging protocols including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC. It also has two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging — 150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.

Additionally, Realme showcased the “AirGap” Voltage Transformer at today’s event. It introduces contactless electromagnetic conversion for smartphones, ensuring that high voltage remains isolated from the battery during faults such as circuit breaks for a safe charging experience.

Realme says this transformer is smaller than a fingertip and reduces the voltage to 20V to protect the battery. It helps maintain “exceptional conversion efficiency and thermal management,” allowing the 320W SuperSonic Charge to achieve around 98% energy efficiency.

In addition to the 320W SuperSonic Charge, Realme has introduced a 4,420mAh foldable battery. It incorporates four cells, each less than 3mm thick, and offers a 10% increase in capacity over traditional designs. Does this mean Realme is gearing up to launch a foldable device?

Other Realme news

Realme’s event wasn’t just about batteries and charging. The brand also introduced a solid-state button and an anti-glare display for smartphones.

The solid-state button has slide functionality for seamless operation and offers intuitive tactile controls for instant zoom and quick clicks, providing the feel of a dedicated camera on your phone.

The anti-glare screen, on the other hand, is inspired by the structure of a moth’s eye and minimizes reflections by up to 80%, providing a paper-like texture for comfortable viewing in bright sunlight. It also provides clear visibility at lower brightness levels and reduces power consumption.

Additionally, Realme talked about the technology AI Motion Picture e AI Gaming Super Resolution. AI Motion Picture technology is powered by NEXT AI and transforms a single image into a dynamic 25-frame video, while AI Gaming Super Resolution technology uses on-device AI to deliver smooth and clear visuals. There’s also Realme Holo Audio that delivers an immersive gaming experience by allowing you to adjust sound positioning to ensure incoming call alerts don’t interrupt your focus on the game.
