The RDNA 4 architecture of AMD GPUs is the manufacturer’s total focus at the moment, with all the efforts of its research & development team working towards the advances that it will bring to the market – instead of bringing new hardware with RDNA 3 or 3.5.

A few days ago it was revealed that the company was working on the Radeon RX 7300 and Radeon RX 7400 models – two entry-level graphics cards using the Navi 33 chip. However, plans were canceled to work intensively on the new structure.

An industry source told Benchlife that no new current-generation AMD GPUs will be created so that the team can focus entirely on developing the RDNA 4 architecture. In other words, say goodbye to the idea of having a current-generation graphics card priced under $200 – at least for now.

The Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300 are currently not on the development list of any of the AIB partners. This is the fact that has come to our attention. As mentioned earlier, everyone is busy with the next generation of Radeon graphics cards based on the RDNA 4 GPU architecture.

Rumors suggest that AMD will launch Radeon RX 8000 graphics cards – based on the RDNA 4 architecture – in the first quarter of 2025. The models may be announced at CES 2025 and made available to the public shortly thereafter.

One challenge they will face is that this will be the same forecast that NVIDIA has been working on for its GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” GPUs. If they arrive at the same time, we could see an intense cost/benefit conflict between the two major manufacturers.

AMD graphics cards with RDNA 4, according to the leaks, will come in two versions: with Navi 44 and Navi 48 GPUs. The latter will be used in high-end hardware, while the former will be seen in mainstream products.

The same leaks suggest that Navi 48 GPUs will have similar performance to Navi 31, and will cost between $400 and $500. Navi 44 chips could offer similar performance to Navi 32, but will cost under $350.
