A supposed GPU from Intel’s next-generation Battlemage dedicated cards is circulating in a new leak online. The model has appeared with 24 Xe2 cores and 12GB of VRAM, raising the possibility that this is a mid-range card. Previous rumors suggest that there will be at least five cards in the Battlemage line.

The information appeared in a Linux log, shared by one of the users of the AnandTech forum. The person signs as Gaav87 and the link to the Linux log is still working in his post at the time of writing.

The card comes with a 192-bit bus, with its 12GB of memory at 19Gbps. This gives us a bandwidth of 456GB/s. Going further, we have 192 execution units (EUs) and up to 15 TFLOPs of performance, with a base clock of 1.8GHz. The author of the forum post even speculates that this Battlemage-based card should be up to 50% better than the Arc A750, while still falling below the RX 6800 and RTX 3070 Ti.

The folks at Tom’s Hardware point out that Intel has been using an unorthodox configuration for its graphics cards. The aforementioned Arc A750, for example, offers a 256-bit bus, but with only 8GB of memory. Decreasing the bandwidth and increasing the capacity – to 192-bit and 12GB, respectively – puts the Battlemage in the leak at more common specs. It’s similar to the RTX 4070 Super and Radeon RX 6750 XT, for example.

Battlemage leaks spark curiosity

Leaks and rumors about Intel’s next-generation dedicated graphics cards have not been rare. But the information is considered promising, as the manufacturer seems to be preparing for major advances in Battlemage GPUs.

Previous information points to models with more shaders than ever before, and the cards could feature up to 32 Xe2 cores.

These cores, by the way, are manufactured in 4nm, according to rumors. There are great expectations for the new generation of cores present in Battlegame GPUs, which should bring a list of new features. Check out the details here.
