Intel has announced that its Innovation 2024 event, scheduled for September, will be postponed. They say the company is adapting after several problems and controversies, focusing on small presentations and activities until the end of the year and bringing it back only in 2025.
The manufacturer sent a message to the guests explaining the situation and revealing that they will still have the opportunity to meet with the public and their fans throughout the year.
After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone our Intel Innovation event scheduled for September until 2025. In the months leading up to 2024, we will continue to host smaller, more targeted events such as webinars, hackathons, and global gatherings through Intel Connection and Intel AI Summit, as well as other industry events.
It is important to note that, although Intel claims that the Innovation 2024 event has been “postponed” and will only be held next year, considering that it is an annual event, it is worth mentioning that the correct term would be “canceled”. There is a possibility that they will hold two presentations in 2025, but it is unlikely.
Taking into account that the event would be responsible for formally presenting the Arrow Lake-S (Intel Core Ultra 200) desktop CPU line and also bringing news about processors for data centers and more information about their future projects, there is no information on when they will announce these products on the market.

Intel is changing its strategy
An Intel representative told PCMag that postponing Innovation 2024 was not a simple decision, but that it is in line with the strategy they will take to restructure themselves at this delicate time.
Looking at our financial results and what lies ahead in the second half of 2024, which will be more challenging than we expected, we are making difficult decisions as we continue to align our cost structure and look to assess how we will rebuild a sustainable engine of technology leadership.
Intel’s Challenges in 2024
As stated above, Intel is at a very delicate moment and it really makes sense for them to take this distance to reevaluate and decide what their next steps will be.
With its financial report falling, the company laid off more than 15,000 employees to cut costs – generating a great deal of controversy. Its shares plummeted and as of yesterday (8), its market value was similar to that of companies like OpenAI.
Combined with the instability issues seen in Intel Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh processors, consumers and the general public are not trusting the manufacturer’s chips – considering that Intel Core Ultra 200V CPUs arrive in September, this should also be reflected in their initial sales.
