Continuing Intel’s saga with its Raptor Lake processors (13th/14th generation), the company has now updated some extended warranty terms for CPUs affected by instability issues. The warranty can go up to 5 years and works for the SKUs listed below.
The processors covered by the extended warranty program are SKUs ending in K, KF, KS and F, as well as models without letters from the Core i5, i7 and i9 series. The minimum extended warranty is two years from the date of purchase, going up to a maximum of 5 years. It was not revealed, however, what is required for this extended warranty to happen.

Intel Core 14th Gen
Intel previously revealed that there was a chance that some 65W Raptor Lake processors could be affected by the known instabilities. From this list above, only SKUs without letters and those ending in F have a 65W base TDP.
RMA is divided into two groups
This extended 5-year warranty is valid for new Intel Raptor Lake CPU purchases in addition to existing products. “Warranty coverage applies to all customers globally.”
There are two different groups that are valid for triggering the RMA. The first one is valid for processors purchased by the user in a store. In this case, it is necessary to contact Intel customer support.
The second group refers to customers who purchased systems assembled by third parties, such as a PC assembled by a store or by partner manufacturers. In this case, it is necessary to contact the store or manufacturer directly.
It was not specified what evidence users of defective Intel Raptor Lake CPUs need to submit in order to trigger the RMA. Here is a recent case, with evidence, in which the company denied assistance, claiming that the products were altered.
