The SSD line from Kingsto received a new option, the NV3. The company’s new M.2 2280, equipped with PCIe 4.0 interface, includes options with 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB. The unit measures 22 x 80 x 2.3mm and weighs 7 grams.

The reading and writing speeds are as follows:

  • 500GB: 5,000MB/s read | 3,000MB/s write
  • 1TB: 6,000MB/s read | 4,000MB/s write
  • 2TB e 4TB: 6,000MB/s read | 5,000MB/s write

The company did not go into detail about the type of 3D NAND used. These new SSDs probably use QLC chips. Regarding TBW, it varies from 160 to 1280 TB, depending on the model. Kingston promises a 3-year warranty. Unlike some drives that already come from the factory with an integrated heatsink, Kingston’s new line comes without a heatsink.
