The Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU had its benchmark results released on Geekbench, showing its potential and how the mobile processor can reach upon its launch.

It is important to remember that this is the high-end model in the Lunar Lake line, being the only one with a PL1 of 30W – while all the others follow 17W or lower consumption.

In the three benchmark tests that the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU was subjected to, its score was 2,790 to 2,901 points in single-core and was between 9,596 and 11,048 points in multi-core.

Although the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 “Strix Point” processor, based on the Zen5 architecture, achieved similar results in single-core CPU performance, it achieved much higher numbers within the multi-core analysis – with a peak of 14,736 points.

It’s important to note that the tests performed with the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU obtained data only from the processor cores – providing the potential of the Lion Cove performance and Skymont efficiency cores, since the Lunar Lake chips will not use Hyper-Threading.

Intel Core Ultra 9 288V Specifications

With production aimed at the mobile market, the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU will be sold with 32GB of LPDDR5-8533 memory on-package, its performance cores can reach up to 5.1 GHz and efficiency cores reach 3.7 GHz.

Its integrated graphics will have the Xe2-GPU “Battlemage” architecture through the Arc 140V model – which reaches up to 2.05 GHz clock.

It is worth noting that the tests performed on the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU were also performed on an MSI notebook, the Prestige 13 AI EVO A2VMG. Different results may be seen on other configurations, although it is important to be aware of its potential in benchmarks.

The arrival of Intel Lunar Lake CPUs

Another important detail is that the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU benchmark can be obtained from some sample – considering that the processor will only hit the market in the last quarter. This would allow adjustments, recommending waiting for the results of the final product to determine whether or not the line will be better than the AMD Ryzen AI 300.

In September, Intel will host the “Innovation” event for new announcements – with a possible reveal of the date when Lunar Lake chips will be on the market, as well as the Arrow Lake-S desktop processors.
