AMD Launches Amuse 2.0, AI Tool with XDNA Capabilities

AMD has partnered with TensorStack to launch a suite of AI tools called Amuse 2.0. The platform works with any Windows PC, but is designed to work best with AMD hardware.

Amuse 2.0 users have access to typical generative AI features, such as image creation and modification, chatbots, etc. However, one difference is that the program supports XDNA-based super resolution. Thus, on appropriate hardware, it is possible to use super resolution to improve performance when creating images with AI and even obtain results that are up to two times larger.

TensorStack recommends the following components to get the most out of Amuse 2.0:

• Ryzen AI 300 series APU paired with 24GB RAM
• Ryzen 8040 series APU paired with 32GB RAM
• Radeon RX 7000 series GPU

AMD’s new generative AI platform focuses on ease of use. In addition to simplifying installation, the software also features an “EZ Mode” to help users start generating AI content immediately. The developer highlights the following advantages:

Is Amuse an answer to AI Playground?

AMD’s AI toolset is being compared at launch to Intel’s AI Playground. The platforms offer similar functionality, but it’s worth noting that Amuse 2.0 works on any type of hardware. The difference is that some features are exclusive to certain AMD components.

The new software is now available for download on its official website. The platform is still in beta, which means it may be prone to some bugs, but at the same time, it should receive even more features until its final version.
