Xbox Cloud Gaming has now arrived on Amazon Fire TV Stick devices, bringing its main games and service to a wider audience. However, the Xbox app is not available to everyone and – according to Microsoft itself – Brazil and Argentina will be left out of this launch.
The company has brought its app to the Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max models, both due to be released in 2023, for several regions – excluding the two countries at this initial stage. It is possible that updates will come and include us in the service, but there is no set deadline for this or any type of statement on the subject.
Even with advances in cloud gaming and network technology in Brazil, Xbox Cloud Gaming on Amazon Fire TV Stick devices may remain unavailable. It is no secret to us that there are regional obstacles and challenges, but the reasons why the service is not compatible within our territory have not been explained.
Considering that the Fire TV Stick 4K and the “Max” model are officially sold in Brazil, as well as the Xbox Game Pass is also available in our country, it is difficult to see a greater reason for there not to be compatibility at launch.

It is important to remember that the Fire Stick TV is an Amazon product that allows users to have an extensive range of applications to use on their television or monitor. The product’s intention is to transform devices into “smart” devices, thus making it more convenient to consume its services within your home.
The arrival of Xbox Cloud Gaming on the 4K and 4K Max models would further enhance its offering, allowing users to play titles available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in their own app. Before that, the service was only available on select Samsung Smart TV models launched from 2020 onwards.
Therefore, the player would only need to have a Fire Stick TV 4K (or 4K Max), a TV/monitor with USB, be a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and have a Bluetooth controller to enjoy the main games from Microsoft and its partners. However, at least in Brazil, we will have to wait a little longer to see this become a reality.
