Ryzen 9000 series processors may already be in the hands of specialized reviewers, according to a photo showing three of the new models based on the Zen 5 architecture.
The image was shared on Twitter by HXL (@9550pro), who has previously appeared with leaks from the hardware world. The photo was reportedly taken by a supposed reviewer unafraid of breaking embargoes. As we can see in the image (below), the Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 9 9900X appear.
This means that the flagship of the Ryzen 9000 series, the Ryzen 9 9950X, is missing from the photo. We can’t speculate whether this means the 16-core processor wasn’t shipped alongside its “smaller siblings” or if the leaker simply chose not to include it in the image.
As if the direct photo of the processors wasn’t enough, we also had news in the world of motherboards for the upcoming arrival of the Ryzen 9000 line. As shown below, a new sticker is already circulating highlighting when a motherboard is compatible with the new CPUs.
We’ve had Zen 5-compatible AMD 600 series cards out there for quite some time now, so the inclusion of the sticker seems to be more of a marketing move, once again reiterating that we’re very close to the arrival of the new generation.
Preparations for Ryzen 9000
All reports point to AMD’s new Zen 5 series of CPUs arriving later this month. The leaked photo shown here reminds us that we should see reviews of the component appearing at the same time as its debut.
While we wait, different preparations for the new processors seem to be happening. ASRock and ASUS, for example, have already made available new BIOSes to optimize their AM5 boards for Ryzen 9000.
Furthermore, even CPU-Z has been updated with support for the next line of AMD processors. The same update also prepared diagnostic software for the Intel Core Ultra 200.
