ASUS shows new AMD 800 series UEFI BIOS Neo with HD visuals and 64MB ROM

ASUS revealed this week what the new look of its updated UEFI BIOS will look like, which makes its debut alongside the launch of the Neo series motherboards, which the company showed at CES 2026, with an AMD chipset. The new HD interface seeks to make users’ lives easier, with a more modern design and quick access to some of the most used functions.

As the images show, upon entering the BIOS, the user sees the CPU temperature highlighted, with quick access to some settings and the control curve and fan profiles on the home screen. Boot priority can also be quickly controlled, as well as easy changes to EXPO profiles of the memories.

A new feature of the ASUS UEFI BIOS that draws attention is what the company calls Q-Dashboard. This is a “map” of the motherboard with all its headers, showing what is connected or not. The user can navigate to a specific connection and tap on it to immediately access the corresponding settings in the BIOS.

Unsurprisingly, ASUS doesn’t sacrifice the more traditional UEFI design in its new Neo boards for AMD processors. Users can choose two other formats that are similar to the BIOS we already know.

In Essential mode, we see the most summarized settings and quick access to some of the system’s popular options. Advanced mode brings all possible UEFI settings, separated into categories with different tabs and extensive lists of options.

ASUS is promoting its new UEFI HD as part of the benefits of its debut series of Neo boards, based on the AM5 socket for Ryzen processors. We don’t know at this point whether the brand’s already launched cards will receive updates to take advantage of the new interface.
