Launchpad 
- Mostly for bug-tracking, a way to communicate with the developers who made Ubuntu in the first place. For serious questions for seriously skilled users.

LUG meetings
- Go hang out with the Linux experts and bask in their aura of FOSS-ness. Not only do they want to see Linux usage expand, but they want to see you there. In general, they are eager, willing, and will go the extra mile to make sure you are having a positive experience with your particular distro. There are some wildly intelligent people at these meetings.
