I have been using this laptop for almost a month and have been very happy. I work at various different locations so it is so nice to have a thin, light, long battery life laptop running Linux out of the box with no configuration hastle. I can get about 5 hours of battery life with active use, and it boots for me in 15 seconds. Also the interface feels essentially instantaneous when launching programs and searching, even though I went with the spinning hard drive for extra storage and only the small mSATA SSD drive. The keyboard and trackpad feel great, which was the biggest unknown since there weren't any reviews when I purchased. I did have some issues with wifi dropping randomly on an enterprise network. However, by disabling N networking I have solved the issue. A nice side benefit is that everyone who sees the laptop is very interested and impressed with its design and performance (even MacBook owners).

I ordered this laptop a few weeks ago and have had it for about a week now. I have to say, I am in love with it. And so is just about everybody who sees it. It's super fast (I got the 128g msata SSD) and 16g of ram. The keyboard is impressive for such a small laptop, and the whole thing is SUPER light, not to mention thin. One bad point is there is no light-up caps-lock indicator, but that's not so bad. A slightly longer review I wrote is here: http://blog.lightcastletech.com/2012/09/22/ultra-cool/

My Ultralap, with i5 processor, 8gb RAM, 256gb mSATA SSD, running Linux Mint 13 Mate ('mah-tay') is absolutely lightning-fast, booting from off in under 15 seconds, and opening Libre Office programs in about a second. The display is beautiful. Battery life is probably about 5 hours with this configuration. I had some graphics problems with Compiz freezing up, but I just went to Synaptic and upgraded the kernel, and now it's fine. There was no caps-lock indicator, so I downloaded Indicator-Keylock from the Software Manager. The machine is super light, ultra-slim, attractive, solidly built, and best of all, pure Linux. The fan is a bit louder than I expected, but not overly so. The speakers are not quite loud enough, unfortunately, but with my wireless headphones, music sounds superb. Looking for specific keys on the keyboard is difficult in the dark, but it's not a major problem. So far I'm very happy with this Zareason machine.

This is, by far, the best laptop on the market right now (2012 October). Nothing else comes close for a lightweight 14 inch laptop. The machine isn't perfect: the fan comes on to cool it off even when it's idle; the touchpad is placed in an awkward place; Centrino still isn't perfectly supported in Linux; volume keys on the keyboard aren't recognized. But there's just no other 14-inch laptop that weighs only 3.25 pounds with 16 GB of RAM. Battery life is also quite good, better than my netbook! I've bought something like three of these laptops, including my new work machine.

I have been using the UltraLap 430 for a few weeks with excellent results. Boot-up time with the SSD is an amazing 13 seconds and it recovers from suspend mode immediately. Battery life is about 5 hours. It's so much better than an Asus ultrabook I tried for a few days that it might as well be from another planet.

I have had this for about a week now and it is wonderful. It is thin, light, and fast. The battery life is around five hours or so which beats my last two laptops. I really have only one complaint and it is that the bottom is plastic rather than aluminum. There are issues with hibernation, but that has plagued Linux for a while and the volume keys not working seem to be an issue with Gnome 3.4. I would gladly recommend this laptop to whomever is looking.
